Fall Essentials

Fall Essentials

September is here and I am in the mood to revamp my wardrobe to everything fall! I know I am not the only one with shopping carts saved with cozy sweaters to different style of boots and plaids. But before we click the “check out” button, let’s start with the essentials to build a fall wardrobe that will last for years to come.

1. Fitted Long Sleeve Tee

Fall is for layering, and a good foundation to any layer is a fitted tee. Especially if you are wearing a sweater that is a bit itchy or you just want to keep things simple with a light jacket. Begin with a color that goes with everything! Black, gray, and a basic white tee is a great way to start. Comfort is key! That is why I chose this Rag & Bone Luca Slim Long-Sleeve Tee, a piece that I would be happy to wear time and time again!

2. Sweater Dress

Dresses are not just for summer, and thank goodness! Because one of my favorite, most easy and flattering fall looks includes a good knitted dress with high boots or booties! Effortless is my middle name! With being a working mom and wife, anywhere I can save time is invaluable! Vince Long-Sleeve Ribbed Square-Neck Mini Dress does the trick leaving me feel chic and put together.

3. Your Favorite Pair of Jeans

Any style of jeans works these days (and yes, even the skinny jean). Depending on what you wear and body type, certain style of jeans just look better. Depending on those two criteria, find your favorite good quality jeans and wear those things out! My advice is to find a light and dark pair to cover all bases. For me, with my long torso and short legs, a straight leg or a high waisted jean looks best! Rag & Bone Nina High-Rise Straight Ankle Jeans is my favorite pair!

4. Classic Collared Shirt

I love a good crisp collared shirt! It’s so versatile and it will NEVER go out of style. You can wear it buttoned, tucked in any bottom, unbuttoned over a tank or tee, a layering piece under a sweater or a jacket. Either way, something about a collared shirt makes any look more elevated. And you can’t get more classic than the Rag & Bone Maxine Classic Button-Front Shirt.

5. Black Pants/Slacks

I think this goes without question that a wardrobe without black pants/slacks is an incomplete one. No matter where you are form, there will always be a moment where you will need those black pants! So why not look cute while wearing them?! And these days, you can dress them up with heels and boots, or dress them down with sneakers and a jean jacket. Try those looks with the Max Mara Vortice Flare-Leg Pants.

6. Blazer/Fall Jacket

The blazer is always my fall jacket of choice. Since suiting is currently a popular trend, you can find blazers everywhere in all styles and textures. I prefer mine oversize so it gives me room to layer. I also like mine in a thicker fabric because it gives me more of a fall feel, that’s why the Max Mara Wool-Cashmere Double-Breasted Blazer is my top choice.

7. Cozy Crewneck

Fall weather is sweater weather. A perfect fall day calls for your favorite fall beverage as you wear the most coziest sweater. And just like the fitted long sleeve tee, a crew neck sweater is a good addition to a fit of layers. Vince Wool-Cashmere Raglan-Sleeve Sweatshirt will be worn on repeat different ways for all occasions.

The best part with these essentials is that it can be worn together, and separate with other pieces in so many ways. Which means your wardrobe can go a long way in addition to you finances. Ok, now you can “check out” on you shopping cart now. ;)
